Get in my Closet

I love bright colours!! But I do combine my outfits reasonably. Nobody wants to see a girl dressed up looking like a clown so it's important to play with colours that suits my tone.  If you have been following my blog, you would notice I love jumpsuits, dresses, blazers, pants, leopard prints, Ankara prints but you can never catch me on a mono-strap or pale colours!  I love Shoes with very high heels, I am 5ft 9inch and my shoe inches are always 5.5.

Amazing Tuesday Styling Ideas

Happy Tuesday Everyone! As always, I give you style inspirations but I just couldn't do that yesterday. I truthfully felt inspired but for some reason, my energy dropped! it happens, right. Ok, I am here now to show you some ah-ma-zing styles you can rock to the office or to your business meetings. I decided to choose each look in a skirt, a dress and a pant. Behold, the looks:

First up is a satin bow-tie shirt in pale pink and a high waisted black skirt. A rose gold watch with a leather strap, and a brown tote accentuate this look.

The Big Brother Africa 2011 winner, Karen Igho attended her First celebrity Wedding in their blue Aso-ebi velvet dress, looking all stunning! I know I'm a bit late on this news and I am pretty sure you have seen it all on other blogs. But I just love that Karen gave us something different. She chose a décolleté dress style, a simple jewelry, a designer sunglasses and her Gele (head tie) is on point! Do you like?

Pointless Oufits

Unless you're Lady Gaga, pants are incredibly useful. Same with t-shirts, jackets and the rest -- each clothing item in our closets serves an important function. But every now and then, you stumble upon a piece of clothing that just baffles the mind. You find yourself stopping and thinking, "Why was this even made?" You immediately want to turn to the closest person and ask, "Why would anyone ever wear this?" especially in this hot weather in Nigeria... Behold, the pointless outfit ever!

 

I still do not understand what purpose this cummerband serves. I would just like it to go away, because, frankly, it kills a good tuxedo or better still, turn this into a purse. The Merriam-Webster defines it as a "a broad waistband usually worn in place of a vest."  so why keep it?

Saturday Inspiration

I love prints!!! It can virtually go on anything but be careful when wearing one, you may easily go fashion faux pas! Ok, this afternoon I have decided to put together an Ankara print for a Saturday go-out look.

You may rock this peplum Ankara top and short to the mall, movies or to the beach. All you need is the right accessories to match.

Dress That Label For Less



Like every other lady on earth, of course will crave to own a designer outfit. But then again, not all of us can own one. Some may think of the unthinkable, Buying fake designer handbags or outfits that is.

What's the point really when you can actually be styled for less. Even the top celebrities sometimes wear the high street fashion so, why not look elegant in a simple outfit for less!

My very own numero uno fashionista, Kim Kardashian stuck to the classic colour palette of black and white and she looked simple and chic. She paired an affordable Topshop Roll Back Crop Tee with a black pencil skirt and Céline ankle-strap pumps:

The Ghanaian Actress, Yvonne Nelson posted a picture of her with Rihanna and Paris Hilton wearing same piece from the young American designer, Alexander Wang. The question is not who wore it best because they all look gorgeous to me, the real question is how best would you rock this?

 
I love that Paris Hilton simply made the ensemble appear rather elegant by teaming it with a pair of black platform shoes and a piece of jewelry .

Video: Rihanna's What Now

Rihanna dropped on VEVO the music video for “What Now” today (November 15th) at 9am , the sixth single lifted from 2012 “Unapologetic” album. She rocks a mullet and goth-inspired attires in her newly released song. It’s a simple music video but it’s definitely visually engaging. The music video for “What Now” was filmed in Thailand and directed by Darren Craig, Jeff Nicholas and Jonathan Craven of The Uprising Creative. I like her psycho role and the effects used on the video. Watch Video below
